1.What is/ the key difference/s between ratio and proportion?
ReplyDelete1.Ratio is a comparison of numbers, while proportion is to find a number that is not known.
2.What are the rules you have to observe in ratio and proportion?
2.Ratio could be represented in many ways, the orders of the numbers are critical. You must be careful to place the same quantities in corresponding positions in the proportion.
What is/ the key difference/s between ratio and proportion?
ReplyDeleteRatio is the comparison of numbers that can be expressed as fractions, but proportion a statement that one ratio is equal to another ratio.
What are the rules you have to observe in ratio and proportion?
The order of the numbers in a ratio is important and must not be in the wrong order. The ratio in the proportion must be the same.
1. Ratio is the comparing of numbers, proportion is that one ratio or fraction to another ratio or fraction is equal.
ReplyDelete2. Ratio can be represented as a fraction and it needn't be equal, while proportion both sides of the fraction (ratio) must be equal.
1..Ratio is a comparison of numbers, while proportion is to find a number that is not known.
ReplyDelete2.Ratio can be represented in different ways, its another way to represent a fraction. The order of numbers is critical
Proportion is a statement that one ratio is equal to another ratio. If you cross multiply the terms of a proportion, those cross products are equal. It enables you to solve problems in which one number of the proportion is not known
1. Ratio can be represented in a fraction, while proportion allows us to solve problems in which one number of the proportion is unknown.
ReplyDelete2. Ratio is another way of presenting a fraction. When we simply ratios, the representations must be equal, and the order of the numbers is important. Proportion is the statement which one ratio/fraction is equal to the other. We must place the same quantities in corresponding positions in the proportion.

1.What is/ the key difference/s between ratio and proportion?
ReplyDeleteAns: A ratio expresses the magnitude of quantities relative to each other, while proportion is the quotient obtained when the magnitude of a part is divided by the magnitude of the whole.
2.What are the rules you have to observe in ratio and proportion?
Ans: Ratio is actually another way to represent fractions, when we simplify ratio, the representations will be equal, and the order of the numbers is very important. We must place the same quantities in corresponding positions in the proportions.

What is/ the key difference/s between ratio and proportion?
ReplyDeleteUnits are not used ratio but they are used in proportion. Ratio-comparison of numbers(can be in fraction). Proportion-is a statement that one ratio is equal to another.
What are the rules you have to observe in ratio and proportion?
Proportion enables you to solve problems in which one no of the proportion is not known. You must be careful to place the same
quantities in corresponding positions in the proportion.

1. Ratio is to compare different known values while proportion is comparing two or more ratios which are still equivalent to the same value, either simplified forms.etc
ReplyDelete2. Ratios can be presented in different ways.(e.g. fraction) .Proportion values must be the same in the division or multiplication of the quantities.
1) Ratio is a comparison of 2 or more different quantities or values while proportion is to find a number that is not known.
ReplyDelete2) Ratio can be presented in many ways. The order of the numbers are critical as it affects the readings. One must be careful to place the same quantities in corresponding positions in the proportion.
~Jia Le
1. A ratio is a comparison of two or more numbers while proportion is a statement that shows the equality between two ratios. Ratios are comparing between two numbers but proportion is to show the equality between two ratios.
ReplyDelete2. For proportion, the two values must be equal to one another, example 1:2 = 2:4. The order of numbers in a ratio is very important, example 1:8 is not equivalent to 8:1.
Ratio is a comparison of two known quantities while proportion is a comparison of two ratios.
ReplyDeleteFor ratio, the ratios must be presented in the order they were asked while for proportion, the quantities must be in the same units.
