  2. The ways to make profit is to see the amount spent and earned and also the probability or ratio to see if you will be making money better or not.

The patience for us to understand the question or method can be applied. With patience then can we fully understand and move on.

We can foresee the possibility of making or losing money in the real world next time.

  3. 1. Identify at least one key learning points from the workshop.
We learnt that mathematics can be applied in a simple game of Monopoly. How probability can be applied in the real world.

    2. Identify the character traits and dispositions you think will be critical in the studies of Mathematics.
A student must be willing to learn and the student must not have a bad attitude, such as not being humble

    3. Through the Mathematics Trail identify at least 1 key areas in Mathematics that could be applied in the real world.
Knowing the height of a gradient can allow a person to know if the person has the ability to climb the slope.

  4. 1. Games like Monopoly are not by luck and chance it can be calculated through probability. Probability can be applied in all games.

    2. A person must be humble enough to learn.

    3. Calculating the volume and area of a complicated object. This can be applied in engineering.

  5. 1. I learnt how to calculate probability in a fun and interactive way. I aslo learnt that stratergizing is very important when playing games or even when facing real life situations.

    2. We have to be able to think logically and must be hardworking.

    3. We will be able to round of amounts when we have to deal with money.

  6. 1) The concept of possibilities can be applied in a simple game of Monopoly.
    2) Understanding and applying the concept is much better than memorising formulae when doing math.
    3) We can use the concept of possibilities when investing our money.

  7. 1. We learnt about thinking business smart and some measurements.
    2. We must be patient and listen to instructions before we do anything. We also must be optimistic.
    3. It would be designing a product or estimating a giant messy calculation.

  8. 1) We learnt about probability and how to calculate it. We also learnt about how to think of winning strategies.

    2) We have to know formulas and also think out of the box to be able to solve problem sums.

    3) Estimation and approximation is used everyday. For example, estimating the amount of money that you need to pay for a meal.

  9. 1. When calculating, we must rely on accuracy and not on luck or guess. I have also learnt how to use probability in Monopoly games and also in real-life situations.
    2. We must be able to spot illogical answers in order to prevent more careless mistakes.
    3. We must use common sense and logic to find answers.

  10. 1.) We learn how to plan how we want to win.
2.)We should be interested in the subject and be willing to learn more about the subject.
3.)How to invest our money so that we will be rich.

  11. 1) I learned about probability.

    2) We must be willing to learn and learn form our mistakes.

    3) We will be able to calculate the chances of making money.

  12. 1. I learnt how to calculate the probability and how to use it whether in games or in our normal everyday life
    2. I think that to learn maths effectively, we must listen in class and always make sure that you understand what is being taught. If we do not know we must consult the teacher to help us understand.
    3. we can use probability to calculate what is the percentage of the next bus coming.

  13. I learnt about probability by using the Monopoly board as an example and how stratergizing can be used in real life (e.g. in the marketing business)

I think that the person has to be hardworking, able to learn and able to understand the topic and know kow to apply it.

We could now understand how they put the last letter in our NRIC.

  14. I learnt about measurement and concepts of possibility cost.

Critical and logical thinking is important.

It is the opportunity cost and the possibility cost.

I learnt about probability through playing monopoly.Monopoly is not just a game of luck.

    2. Identify the character traits and dispositions you think will be critical in the studies of Mathematics.
One must be willing to learn, one must have logical thinking and neat.

    3. Through the Mathematics Trail identify at least 1 key areas in Mathematics that could be applied in the real world.

  16. 1) I (re)learned how chance isn't so random and that it can be calculated. I learned how to include factors to calculate probability.
    2) A key disposition is having an open mind to accept new truths.
    3) Probability can be used to turn the odds in your favor in real life.

  17. 1. Identify at least one key learning points from the workshop.
Ans : I learnt how to calculate probability through a board game called "Monopoly" . I also learnt that we should strategies in whatever we do . ©

    2. Identify the character traits and dispositions you think will be critical in the studies of Mathematics.
Ans : We have to be humble and not be too proud if you have done something well .©

    3. Through the Mathematics Trail identify at least 1 key areas in Mathematics that could be applied in the real world.
Ans : We can learn to be more alert and able to predict what comes next . We then can count money accurately and not be cheated .©

  18. We learnt about concepts that were meant to be taught at a later day like probability and the lesson went by with a game of MONOPOLY© to prove facts and concepts. Form these kinds of lessons, it helps us in daily life, to think logically. In the real world, the concepts of mathematics that can be so simple could help one define logic and utterly crazy like when in a dilemma where one can find the one with the higher chances. - Hardy

  19. 1. Identify at least one key learning points from the workshop.

One key learning point is to calculate the probability of getting something beforehand so that we have a rough idea of what is expected and can come up with a plan too.

    2. Identify the character traits and dispositions you think will be critical in the studies of Mathematics.

Some of the character traits and dispositions is analyzing the question of problem, understanding the problem, and finally thinking of different ways to solve the problem or question.

    3. Through the Mathematics Trail identify at least 1 key areas in Mathematics that could be applied in the real world.

The key area is to calculate the height of an object just by using a clinometer and your estimation skills. This skill can be applied in the real world as we might need to estimate how high an object is for a purpose sometime in the real world.

  20. I learnt how to calculate the probability of a situation.

We have to be willing to learn about the subject and have an open mind when answering questions.

We can use something like the clinometer to measure the height of something without using a ruler.

  21. 1.Mathematics is used in everyday life, like in financing, designing, accounting, etc.

2.That will be someone who will always do further research on something he did not understand to acquaint himself with the thing, abd also willing to do work hard diligently.

3.That is probability, to strategise in trade.
