# An angle can be defined as two rays or two line segments having a common end point. The endpoint becomes known as the vertex. An angle occurs when two rays meet or unite at the same endpoint.

6. If two of the angles inside a triangle are 90 degrees and 50 degrees, what is the third angle? What angle property/properties did you use in you reasoning? 40º. All the angles in the triangle add up to 180º. Therefore, 180º - 90º - 50º = 40º.

7. Are the lines in the capital letter L parallel or perpendicular? Perpendicular.

8. Will two parallel lines ever cross? Why? No, because the distance between these two parallel lines will forever be the same, therefore, the distance between these two parallel lines would not decrease, so they would not cross each other.

If two of the angles inside a triangle are 90 degrees and 50 degrees, what is the third angle? What angle property/properties did you use in you reasoning?
- 40º. The property of the triangle. The total of all the angles in a triangle must be 180º, 180º-90º-50º=40º

Are the lines in the capital letter L parallel or perpendicular?
- Perpendicular

Will two parallel lines ever cross? Why?

6) 40 degrees. All 3 angles in a triangle adds up to 180 degrees, hence if the two angles given adds up to 140 degrees, the last angle MUST be 40 degrees to allow it to add up to 180 degrees..
7) Perpendicular
8) No. This is because parallel lines are straight and because they have similar angles, they will NEVER meet.
